Lily Collins and her husband, Charlie McDowell, are officially parents to a baby girl. The Emily in Paris actress shared the first photo of their daughter, Tove, and revealed that she was born via surrogate.

“Welcome to the center of our world Tove Jane McDowell,” Collins wrote. “Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back again…”

Sources told TMZ that Collins’s surrogate gave birth earlier this week in a California hospital. The insiders shared that Collins and McDowell are “overflowing with love and gratitude at the arrival of their very first kid.”

The outlet pointed out that McDowell spoke to E! in October about his and Collins’s hopes to become parents. “We would like to [start a family],” he said. “We would like to move into that next stage, so we’ll see when it happens!”

Collins and McDowell got married on Sept. 4, 2021. Collins marked their three-year wedding anniversary this past September on Instagram. She teased “the best is still to come” in her tribute to McDowell, perhaps in a little nod to their baby plans.

She wrote in full to her husband, “Happy anniversary to the man who makes me laugh harder than anyone. Three years held in your arms has been the greatest gift. Barefaced and in a basic tee, you make me feel like the most special human on the planet. I adore you @charliemcdowell. More than I know how to say. Here’s to countless incredible moments together (plus twinning photoshoots). And to think, the best is still to come…”
